WHAT TO EXPECT

Welcome to the Kingdom Building Ministry Center where we as Godly men, women and children worship God in spirit and in truth. (John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship Him.) Where the Word of God is taught and you will learn how to live a life of victory in this perverse and crooked world today. Teaching that will help you rightly divide the Word of Truth, as Paul wrote to Timothy. (2 Tim 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.)

We welcome you to come and join us in our worship service and Bible study. KBMC will greet you with love and allow you to worship God freely. If you are looking for a church home or just want to visit to hear a Word from God, come join us and see for yourself what God is doing. We teach the unadulterated Word of God where we believe the whole Bible and live according to the Apostles Doctrine. Our Sunday services begin at 11 am and Bible Study, Thursday evening at 7 pm.

WHO WE ARE

Kingdom Building Ministry Center of Columbus, Ohio is an Apostolic Faith based church birthed November 8th, 2015. God called Elder Alfred “Al” Ponder to begin this ministry to teach His people. In obedience to God having no members or a building to have services, Elder Ponder was led to go to the Whitehall Library where he held Sunday service at 1 pm every Sunday that was available and Thursday evenings. With his three grandchildren and Sister Marcy Bondurant, Elder Ponder preached with three other visitors present. Even when no one showed up Elder Ponder was still prepared to preach and teach the Word of God. Because of his faithfulness God was faithful and sent people if only for one service to hear a Word from God, even when he was alone he wasn’t alone. Elder Ponder holds on to the Scripture despising not the day of small things. (Zechariah 4:10)

In September of 2016 God laid it on Elder Ponders heart to look for a new place of worship. Elder Ponder was looking to stay in Whitehall because of the youth. God had a different plan; He led Elder Ponder to talk to Marlan Gary the owner of The Chapel of Peace. God opened the door for the chapel to be available on Sundays and Thursdays. On October the 16th, 2016 we had our first service with a freedom to praise God openly without any interruptions.

Kingdom Building Ministry Center became a member of The Church of Christ of The Apostolic Faith, Inc. in January of 2016, later Elder Ponder was appointed District Elder of the Columbus District. The organization is located in Lakeland, Florida under the leadership of Bishop Keith E. Stephenson. Bishop Stephenson is the Pastor of Emmanuel Temple Church, also located in Lakeland Florida.

October 29, 2016 we were blessed to start a Youth Bible Class, where we are teaching children from ages five to seventeen about the bible. With the help of Sister Cheri Wilks as a teacher, God is truly creating a path of growth for our ministry. In March of 2017 we will be starting a monthly Outside The Walls Bible Study at the Senior Living Complex in South East Columbus on Thursday afternoons. We thank God for His many blessings and for all He is doing for the growth of this ministry.

Through our obedience to God we see bigger and better things happening within and outside the walls of our place of worship. We will continue to operate in the Word of God, teaching that there is but one God, one Faith and one Baptism. We must be born again of water and of Spirit. (John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.) According to Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
